Busy April.
April 25, 2009
April has been busy. My calendar was clean at the start of the month. It stayed clean for about five days then it just got hectic. Will not elaborate further on that.
Events that transpired that deserve entries of their own are: Zambales trip with Chiesa and Holy Week in Malolos.
Not only that but my mom, cousin and aunt flew in for my grandmother’s 75th birthday.
I am quite grateful that I am not taking summer classes. Summer lovin’.. summer fun! Hopefully I will get to see more of the Philippines. Batangas next weekend with the USC. Yay!
Oh! Which reminds me, the other thing on my summer-to-do list is to get my driver’s license.
The weather has been erratic lately. One moment it is really hot, the next it is pouring rain! Insane.
Anyway, whatever the case may be.. happy summer to all! =)
24-hour establishments in QC.
April 1, 2009
As it is cramming season, I.E. the end of term, 24-hour establishments are quite in demand. 21 units has been a pain. Never again. (Okay, I might eat my words.)
Anyway, I have only spent my early mornings in three establishments in Quezon City.
1) Starbucks, Quezon Ave (24/5 during weekdays, up to 2am on Saturdays and 12mn on Sundays)
2) McDonald’s Katipunan
3) Tapa King Katipunan
Am in Tapa King as I type this. The sunrise over at Ateneo is pretty. It is my first time here and I am loving it. Food is great, place is comfortable, you get sockets too and not as many people around. There’s wifi as well. Breakfast this morning was top banana!
McDonald’s is a pretty busy place. Now that they have renovated it, the place is more inviting and it is just as comfy. It’s difficult to get connected to the internet as you have to compete with 15 people at a time or more. But it’s nice and bright. You really won’t fall asleep.
Will try out Burger King next time. Which outlet in QC? Hmm… there’s E. Rod, Morato and Marcos Highway. I shall eeny, meeny, miny, moe my options.
Where’s your 24-hour spot?
This site needs some pumping. I’ll make up for it during the summer break.. hopefully!
Good morning world!

Riding the bus in the Metro.
November 1, 2008
Buses are the only means of public transportation that I RARELY use in Metro Manila. I don’t know why really. I guess it’s because I have taken comfort in the relatively smaller sized vehicles.
Yesterday, I was along Espana waiting for a ride back to Philcoa when a savvy looking bus approached the waiting shed I was at. I hesitated for a bit then figured, what the heck! The seats were nice and comfortable and it was air-conditioned too! Lords! They were even playing a new action movie DVD which starred Steven Segal. Get this, for only P16! Well worth it! Swear. Next time I’m along Espana, I’m taking the bus again.
I ended up at the Cubao shuttle terminal to head to the province at around 3pm. The lines were LONG! UBERLY LONG!!! And shuttles were nowhere in sight! I felt like I waiting forever for nothing! Grrr! It was soooooooo smart of me to opt to leave in the afternoon when everyone’s rushing to head back to their respective provinces for the November 1 weekend.
After waiting in line for an hour plus, I decided to head to the Baliuag Transit bus terminal. I just wanted to get out of the city! There was a bus headed to a different town of my province. Seats were no longer available but the barker was still inviting people to hop on and stand. HA! Out of sheer desperation, I jumped for it. I’d rather stand in a moving vehicle than to stand in a non-moving line.
Wild! My mother was a bit horrified when I told her my latter story. She told me not to do that again. Whoops!
Definitely an experience to remember. If there’s a will, there’s a way! =P Nah, I’m just getting myself ready for the Amazing Race Asia. Huihuihui!
For someone who rarely uses the bus, I rode it twice in one day. Good job!
1st semester: Done!
October 26, 2008
Hey everyone. Sorry for the lack of updates. Went on hiatus for two weeks since finals were up.
The semester officially ended for me last Friday. Photo finish and everything fell into place. It was sweet. Am really grateful for the people who kept me sane through these crazy times.
I am done with sitting in the corner and disconnecting myself from the world.
More updates coming your way. I missed cyberspace!
Happy Sunday everyone. =)
Nike Lunar Trainer+
October 12, 2008

Waaah! I have been looking for these shoes and most of the Nike outlets I have been to still do not have them on display.
Finally saw them in TriNoma this evening and I really really really want to get hold of my own pair!
I have been meaning to replace my Nike Airmax 90 trainers. As much as I love them, they need replacing. I can’t run in them anymore. Besides, they are not ideal to run around the acad oval in since they are quite heavy. They belong in the gym or an indoor basketball court.
I love love love the Nike Lunar Trainers. I do not care about what people say about them. Pro runners would have a lot to say when it comes to reviewing these shoes. Come on! They’re pros. Of course they’ll be meticulous. Give me a break. Allow me to indulge because dangit! My feet feels great in them!
If only I could have walked out of the store without paying for them, I would have. Wishful thinking.
I miss running. Ha! These shoes will give me a reason to run again.
I am a sucker for Nike shoes that it is not even funny. More often than not, I have to contain myself and refrain from impulse buying. Lords! If I had a lot of money, I would probably buy all the colours available of the style I get.
Nike shoes; a vice? Uhm, probably? Maybe? =P
After the semester is over, I will really think about spending for these shoes. Who knows, maybe daddy dearest would let me use the credit card even if he disapproves of them. Whatever the case may be, by November I will have my very own Women’s size 7.5 Nike Lunar Trainers! Yihee! I am excited.
